To create a new portfolio item, simply\u00a0navigate to <strong>Portfolios<\/strong> section of the admin area and click on <strong>Add New<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It is important to set featured image for the portfolio item in <strong>Featured Image<\/strong> meta box in the right sidebar of the portfolio item editor\u00a0since there will be no content to be displayed on the portfolio page.<\/p>\n<p>The single portfolio item can be created either using the <strong>default structure<\/strong> (various Image gallery style and description for it in the\u00a0different position), you can use <strong>the elements of Visual Composer plugin <\/strong>or<strong> both: default structure with Visual Composer elements<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In case you&#8217;d like to use the Visual Composer content, you can specify its position inside portfolio item. It can be displayed on <strong>top<\/strong> or\u00a0<strong>bottom<\/strong> of portfolio single page.<\/p>\n<p>It can be set in <del class=\"support-arrow-right\">Single Portfolio Item\u00a0options<\/del> <del class=\"support-arrow-right\">Advanced settings<\/del> <del>Visual Composer content position<\/del> for each portfolio item.<\/p>\n<p>You can also set the default position for all the portfolio items in <del class=\"support-arrow-right\">Theme options<\/del> <del class=\"support-arrow-right\">Portfolio options<\/del> <del class=\"support-arrow-right\">Single Portfolio item options<\/del>\u00a0<del class=\"support-arrow-right\">Layout settings<\/del>\u00a0<del>Visual Composer default content position<\/del> section.<\/p>\n<p>To facilitate the navigation\u00a0within the portfolio items, make sure that the portfolio categories and tags are set.<\/p>\n<h5>Watch the video tutorial on <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/bDfOhAcnROs\" target=\"_blank\">portfolio item creation<\/a> for more details.<\/h5>\n<h3>Portfolio Categories<\/h3>\n<h4>The most convenient way to group the portfolio projects.<\/h4>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-408 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/nativewptheme.net\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Portfolio-categories.jpg\" alt=\"portfolio-categories\" width=\"975\" height=\"726\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nativewptheme.net\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Portfolio-categories.jpg 975w, https:\/\/nativewptheme.net\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Portfolio-categories-300x223.jpg 300w, https:\/\/nativewptheme.net\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Portfolio-categories-768x572.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 975px) 100vw, 975px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>The<\/strong> <strong>Categories<\/strong> can be added in <del class=\"support-arrow-right\">Portfolios<\/del> <del>Categories<\/del> section of admin\u00a0panel.<\/p>\n<p>To create a new <strong>Category<\/strong> for portfolio items, check the short steps to be followed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Name<\/strong> &#8211; add the title of the category.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Slug<\/strong> &#8211; enter the title of the category in the URL. If you choose<strong> theme default<\/strong> the displaying will correspond to the theme options settings.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Standard<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0allows you to show standard featured image size on portfolio page template. The featured image will have square form.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wide<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0allows you to show a wide featured image on portfolio page template. Wide style has the size of two standard ones in the horizontal dimension.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tall<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0allows you to show a tall featured image on portfolio page template. Tall style has the displaying of two standard featured images in the\u00a0vertical dimension.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Large<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0allows you to show a large featured image on portfolio page template. The displaying of the Large style has the approximate the square form with the size of four standard featured images.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Media style<\/strong> &#8211; select the gallery appearance on the item inner page. You may add the gallery images to the <strong>Images gallery<\/strong> meta box.\u00a0If you choose<strong> theme default<\/strong> the displaying will correspond to the theme options settings.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Carousel<\/strong> &#8211; arranges the images into a\u00a0slideshow\u00a0with the big image and the gallery carousel under it. Check the example of <strong>Carousel portfolio<\/strong> with <a href=\"http:\/\/nativewptheme.net\/home\/portfolio\/carousel-right-info\/\">this link<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Grid<\/strong> &#8211; shows regularly spaced horizontal and vertical images. Check the <strong>Grid portfolio<\/strong> item <a href=\"http:\/\/nativewptheme.net\/home\/portfolio\/grid-left-sidebar\/\">here<\/a>.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Number of columns<\/strong> &#8211; set the number of columns\u00a0for the images inside portfolio item. Five is the\u00a0maximum value.\u00a0If you choose<strong> theme default<\/strong> the displaying will correspond to the theme options settings.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Images offset<\/strong> &#8211; set the space in px to add space between images in your portfolio images gallery.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Masonry<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0allows you to show images one after another, first in the horizontal direction, then vertically. Check the example of Masonry portfolio following <a href=\"http:\/\/nativewptheme.net\/home\/portfolio\/masonry-right-sidebar\/\">this link<\/a>.\n<ul>\n<li><label for=\"portfolio_single_reduce_image_size\"><strong>Reduce image size <\/strong>&#8211; switch it to Enable\u00a0to crop the images for portfolio item. The images will be set in original size if the option is disabled.<br \/>\n<\/label><\/li>\n<li><strong>Number of columns<\/strong> &#8211; set the number of columns\u00a0for the images inside portfolio item. To find the video ID, look at the URL of that page, and at the end of it, you should see a combination of numbers and letters after an equal sign (=). Copy the numbers of an equal sign (=) and enter the ID.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Vimeo <\/strong>\u2013 allows you to set the video from Vimeo resource.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Vimeo video URL<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0enter the video ID to be displayed on the\u00a0single portfolio page. To find the video ID , copy the numeric code that appears at the end of its URL at the top of your browser window.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Self hosted video in MP4 format<\/strong> &#8211;<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>allows uploading the video\u00a0in mp4 format for IE, Chrome and Safari browsers.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Self hosted video file in mp4 format<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; enter the video URL or select the necessary video file from the\u00a0media library.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Self hosted video in WebM format<\/strong> &#8211;<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>allows uploading the video<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>the WebM\u00a0format for Firefox and Opera.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Self hosted video file in WebM format<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; enter the video URL or select the video file from the\u00a0media library.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Visual Composer content position<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0defines the Visual Composer content position inside portfolio item. Switch it to <strong>Disable<\/strong> to remove inside pagination. If you choose <strong>theme default<\/strong> the displaying will correspond to the theme options settings.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed \u2013 the pagination arrows for previous and next portfolio items will be displayed on scroll.<\/li>\n<li>Top \u2013 the pagination arrows are displayed on top of the portfolio items.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Content settings<\/h5>\n<h6>Arrange the inner content of the portfolio according to your needs, such as meta information, title, author\u2019s information etc.<\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Categories<\/strong> &#8211; select whether the categories of portfolio item will be displayed or hidden.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Title<\/strong> &#8211; set the title of the portfolio item will be shown or hidden\u00a0above the portfolio item.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Meta<\/strong> \u2013 allows you to show or hide meta information on portfolio item.
